One of Brenham’s most cherished attractions is the antique carousel at Fireman’s Park. This beautifully restored, hand-carved wooden carousel dates back to the early 1900s and is a nostalgic delight for both children and adults. Open Saturdays & Sundays March 1-May 31 and Saturdays June 1 – October 31.

Antique Rose Emporium 

Wander through the stunning gardens at the Antique Rose Emporium. With beautiful blooms and peaceful pathways, it’s a lovely spot for a family stroll and some quality time in nature. 

Blue Bell Aquatic Center

Start your family adventure with a splash at the Blue Bell Aquatic Center. This state-of-the-art facility features indoor and outdoor pools, water slides, and a splash pad. It’s the perfect place to cool off and have fun in the water. 

BLUE BELL CREAMERIES

Did you know that Brenham is home to Blue Bell Creameries? Take a look from the observation deck to see how this famous ice cream is made, then head to the parlor to enjoy a Texas sized scoop of your favorite flavor for just $1. The parlor offers a wide variety of delicious Blue Bell ice cream, making it a delightful experience for all ages. Don’t forget to explore the on-site museum to learn about the rich history of Blue Bell and grab some souvenirs from the country store!

Brazos Valley Brewing Company

Brazos Valley Brewery is a fantastic spot for both beer enthusiasts and families, offering a variety of craft beers in a welcoming atmosphere. The brewery features a playground and cornhole games to keep kids entertained while parents relax and enjoy their drinks. Brenham Fire Museum

City of Brenham Parks

Brenham is home to a variety of beautiful parks that are perfect for family outings. Some highlights include: 

Fireman’s Park is a community favorite, offering an antique carousel, a playground, and picnic areas. It’s a great spot for family gatherings and leisurely afternoons. 

Hohlt Park features walking trails, sports fields, and an amphitheater. It’s ideal for families who enjoy outdoor activities and want to spend the day exploring nature. 

Located in Henderson Park, the City of Brenham Splash Pad is a fun place for kids to play and cool off from April to September. It’s a refreshing break during the warm months and a hit with children of all ages.

sILVER WINGS BALLROOM

Silver Wings Ballroom is a lively roller skating rink  and event venue that has been a favorite in Brenham since 1976. Texas Cotton Gin Museum

Washington County Fair: Established in 1868, the Washington County Fair is the first and oldest county fair in Texas! Mark your calendar for the middle week of September to enjoy a variety of events at this annual celebration, including concerts, rodeos, livestock shows, arts and crafts shows, special attractions, carnival rides, commercial exhibits, and more. There’s something here for everyone!

Scarecrow Festival: Held in Chappell Hill every October, this festival features arts and crafts, live music, delicious food, and a dedicated kids’ zone. It’s a fun-filled event that offers something for everyone.

Texas Arts & Music Festival: Watch a muralist’s creative magic come to life on the exterior wall of another building in historic Downtown Brenham. On the third weekend of October, rock to live music all weekend long, enjoy delicious street food, street art, and even a kickoff dance party!

Christmas Stroll & Lighted Parade: Kick off the holiday season in December with Brenham’s charming Christmas Stroll and Lighted Parade. The downtown area transforms into a winter wonderland with twinkling lights, festive decorations, and holiday cheer.
