The Kolber Kottage and the Kardinal Kabin are located only 4 miles from Round Top, internationally known for its Spring and Fall Antique Shows. Enjoy a delicious breakfast of fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs. Some of these are grown seasonally in the orchard and garden east of the front porches. Your stay may include homemade muffins, coffee cake, breads, local jams and juice each morning. The kitchens are fully equipped if you choose to cook. Bedrooms rooms have queen beds and pillow top mattresses. Soap, shampoo and hair-dryers are provided. The Texas Room attached to The Kottage has a full kitchen and two beds that can be used for extra lodging. Explore our 26 acres of rolling hills and beautiful trees, and a stocked fish pond.

We are just down the road from Lake Somerville, historic Washington on the Brazos and the Bluebell Creamery. Round Top is a few miles to our west and Chappell Hill to our east.
The quaint, 1930’s craftsman-style house channels the innocence, purity, and simplicity of Texas’ countryside. The style, which conveys the unpretentious ease of hill country life, is finding an increasingly receptive audience in modern times. Cheery and natural, the style places function over form and comfort over modernity.
The Texas Country Guesthouse overlooks picturesque landscapes of open fields and beautiful blue skies. The house offers a handful of amenities for guests to enjoy either on a romantic or adventurous, outdoor getaway. Both the Birch Creek and Nails Creek units of Lake Somerville State Park offer a multitude of recreational opportunities such as camping, picnicking, boating, fishing, hiking and biking, volleyball, horseshoes, basketball, backpacking and equestrian use (visitors must bring their own horses). More than 20 miles of trail are available to hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians, affording visitors the opportunity to exercise and enjoy the beauty of the park. Water lovers can enjoy boating, fishing, swimming and skiing on Lake Somerville.
