Leftovers Antiques (on Highway 290 West just outside of Brenham) 20th Anniversary Party. Rachel Ashwell (founder of the Shabby Chic empire) will be doing a book signing for her newest book, Meadow Manor, from 4-7pm, and the high-energy band Flashpoint will be performing at the store from 6-9pm. Complimentary wine and light refreshments will also be available.

Welcome to Almost, Maine, a place that’s so far north, it’s almost not in the United States. It’s almost in Canada. And it’s not quite a town, because its residents never got around to getting organized. So it almost doesn’t exist. One cold, clear, winter night, as the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the residents of Almost, Maine, find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend – almost – in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.

Texas Arts & Music Festival Juried Art Show at Brenham Heritage Museum

Explore more than 50 works by artists from across Texas and the local community at the Brenham Heritage Museum’s month-long Texas Arts & Music Festival Juried Art Show. The exhibition features paintings, photography, sculpture, and more, including special entries from Blinn College and Brenham High School.

The exhibition is on display October 1–31, 2026. Museum hours are Tuesday–Saturday, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with special hours during Festival weekend, October 16–18. Regular Museum admission applies, except during Festival weekend, when admission is free.

A special opening reception will be held Friday, October 16, at 5:30 p.m., featuring refreshments and live music by Zach Hyde. Free and open to the public.
