October 19, 2023 - Announcing Museum on Main Street and Requesting Community Feedback

Museum on Main Street (MoMS) is a national exhibition program of the Smithsonian. The exhibit, debuting in Brenham and six other smaller towns in Texas in 2024-2025, is titled Crossroads: Change in Rural America. Today, rural communities are at a new crossroads – a meeting point of ideas where they can chart their own future. With innovation and a creative spirit, rural Americans are helping to define and shape the future of our country. While the core display will be straight from the Smithsonian, we will be providing educational programs, cultural activities, and exhibitions that center on local culture and history. Plan now to join us for a few days and experience the Smithsonian during December 7, 2024 through January 19, 2025.
