This authentic general store was originally called “Henry’s grocery store” and was loved by all in the area. I was blessed to find it, restore it and call it my “happy place”. The once wide open general store has now been converted to two separate living quarters. The back guest area has two king suites and one bunk room which sleeps six. Combined the back area sleeps 10. This back area has a shared living, kitchen and dining. It’s really fun during Round Top market days to stay in a room and share stories and fellowship with the other guests, although off season of the Round Top market days this guest quarters can be rented by the entirety. The front quarters is a separate area with a king size bed, two twin extra long bunks and it’s own living, kitchen and bath room. All are within walking distance to the amazing Mexican restaurant Los Patrones, as well as White Horse Tavern, and a great coffee shop, Neon Moon Coffee.

Amazing country retreat on 16 acres only 5 minutes to downtown Brenham and 20 minutes to Round Top. This 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath house has everything you need for a relaxing escape- even an extra 2000 sf party barn with ping pong, shuffle board and long table for 25. Cozy up by the indoor fire or sit by the outdoor fire pit and enjoy the sunset views. Take a dip in the pool or hot tub after a day of fishing, shopping, and relaxing. Great for families or groups. Sleeps up to 10-12 guests comfortably.

Take a 7-minute walk from this comfortable duplex (shared wall but no shared entry) to Brazos Valley Brewing Co. and see what’s on tap for the day. Visiting your Blinn College student? Walk or drive less than a mile. Explore antiques in nearby Round Top. Indulge in $1 ice cream scoops at Blue Bell Creameries. Shopping in downtown Brenham. Connect with Texas’ proud past at the Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site. Check out nearby Chappell Hill, Burton, and Giddings.
Guest access: You have your parking spot in the driveway to the left of the front of the house. The back deck and backyard are yours to use and enjoy.
Other things to note are that the home is a duplex with two units. The units have separate, private entrances and no shared space. They share one wall.
To ensure a meticulous stay, we charge a deep cleaning fee equivalent to the pet fee even if the guest brings a service pet.

The painted lady sits <1/4 mile from the quaint downtown square in Brenham TX. She was born in the Victorian era but has recently been remodeled into a duplex. Her 1 bed 1 bath makes it easy to access some of the best restaurants & shopping the City of Brenham offers. Or choose to unwind in her newly remodeled modernized space simply.
The space is the newly remodeled front half of a restored Victorian, and guests have access to the entire apartment. Other things to note: The painted lady is a duplex, and you’ll be staying in the front unit.
Cozy Tiny Home in the Country
The “Little Blue” House is a newly built home nestled out in the country. It was designed as a retreat from hectic daily life. It comfortably sleeps 4 adults and a small child. Little Blue is located 23 miles from Round Top and 73 miles from Houston. Modern farmhouse decor, all the essentials provided, full kitchen, spacious and brightly lit. There’s an open yard space in front of the house for the guests to enjoy. **No ATVs or Motorcycles are allowed on the lawn. ***Sorry no pets allowed at this time
