Pigs Fly Round Top
This authentic general store was originally called “Henry’s grocery store” and was loved by all in the area. I was blessed to find it, restore it and call it my “happy place”. The once wide open general store has now been converted to two separate living quarters. The back guest area has two king suites and one bunk room which sleeps six. Combined the back area sleeps 10. This back area has a shared living, kitchen and dining. It’s really fun during Round Top market days to stay in a room and share stories and fellowship with the other guests, although off season of the Round Top market days this guest quarters can be rented by the entirety. The front quarters is a separate area with a king size bed, two twin extra long bunks and it’s own living, kitchen and bath room. All are within walking distance to the amazing Mexican restaurant Los Patrones, as well as White Horse Tavern, and a great coffee shop, Neon Moon Coffee.

We are located in Brenham, Texas in the hill country of central Texas.
We are just down the road from Lake Somerville, historic Washington on the Brazos and the Bluebell Creamery. Round Top is a few miles to our west and Chappell Hill to our east.
The quaint, 1930’s craftsman-style house channels the innocence, purity, and simplicity of Texas’ countryside. The style, which conveys the unpretentious ease of hill country life, is finding an increasingly receptive audience in modern times. Cheery and natural, the style places function over form and comfort over modernity.
The Texas Country Guesthouse overlooks picturesque landscapes of open fields and beautiful blue skies. One of the houses (12 Armadillos on Main Street faces Main Street), the other house (12 Armadillos on Alamo St) faces Alamo St. You can see from one of the Alamo living room pictures the other house on the property). This mid century modern style home has recently been remodeled and is an open floor plan. There are several additional touches that make this place an entertainers dream (pool table, three outdoor porch areas, outdoor hanging lights, fire pit, gas grill, children’s tree house, tree swing, and a ton of games).

Guest access: You have your parking spot in the driveway to the left of the front of the house. The back deck and backyard are yours to use and enjoy.
Other things to note are that the home is a duplex with two units. The units have separate, private entrances and no shared space. They share one wall.
To ensure a meticulous stay, we charge a deep cleaning fee equivalent to the pet fee even if the guest brings a service pet.
