Unity Theatre presents “Fruitcakes”, a comedy by Julian Wiles playing on the Main Stage December 5 – 22, 2024.
Mix together a batch of fruitcakes, three dozen Christmas trees, 10,000 outdoor Christmas lights, a chicken pox epidemic, two southern spinsters, an estranged old man, a lost cat named Tutti Frutti and a Christmas hog named Buster and you’ve got the recipe for a fun-filled and touching evening of festive frenzy. Into this world comes Jamie, a runaway kid who has come as far as his money will take him. At first, he thinks this town’s inhabitants are “nuttier than fruitcakes,” but soon he comes to admire, appreciate, and adore this crazy little town. So, grab your eggnog and join us for a heaping helping of holiday warmth and Christmas cheer.
Showtimes are Thursdays at 7:30pm, Fridays & Saturdays at 8:00pm, and Sundays at 2:00pm.

NEW FEATURED EXHIBIT at the Brenham Heritage Museum:
Available for a limited time, the newest exhibit, “All Trails Lead to Houston,” tells the stories of the various trail rides that lead to Houston to launch the Annual Livestock Show and Rodeo. The original ride, the Salt Grass, began in Brenham and was founded by Reese Lockett and friends, inspiring dedicated riders and continuing to this day. Featuring striking photography of Ray Viator, supplemented with local trail ride artifacts, this exhibit is a must-see.
Museum hours are 10am-4pm Wednesday-Saturday. Admission is $5 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Museum members get in for free.

Join us the 1st Weekend in December for the annual Christmas Stroll and Lighted Parade. It is Brenham’s way of kicking off the holiday season.
Starting with a special concert, “Cold Nights, Holiday Tunes” on Friday night at 7pm, when our special guest performer, SUEDE will take the stage.
Then on Saturday, we’ll have a number of fun activities including Breakfast with Santa, the Jingle Bell Market at Ant Street Inn, live music and dance performances, caroling and so much more, holiday fun abounds in Downtown Brenham!
The annual Lighted Parade is Saturday starting at 6pm!
