Preparing a home for warmer weather by chasing out cobwebs and dirt, scrubbing walls and floors, was much more laborious in the 1850s than cleaning today! Before each release, we’ll host a short 10–15 minute, kid-friendly presentation where little gardeners (and curious grown-ups!) can learn why ladybugs are such powerful allies in the garden and how they help with natural pest control. We’ll also have coloring sheets available for kiddos to enjoy. Want to bring the magic home? Live ladybugs will be available for purchase in our Gift Shop so you can start your own backyard pest patrol.

Brenham Heritage Museum
Event Details
In conjunction with Texas History Month, the Brenham Heritage Museum is featuring an exhibit honoring its sister museum and historic site at Washington-on-the-Brazos. Titled Independence Reborn: A Look at Washington-on-the-Brazos, the displays in BHM’s Blue Bell Gallery serve as an introduction to the rich history associated with the Washington site and include a generous nod to the extensive renovations that recently debuted at the state historic site. Come experience this educational display! The Brenham Heritage Museum is located at 105 South Market Street in downtown Brenham. Hours are Wednesday through Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission to Independence Reborn is included with regular museum admission. Admission rates can be found on the museum’s website: www.bhmtexas.org. This exhibit will be on view from Wednesday, March 4 until Saturday, April 18, 2026.
