Unity Theatre presents The Foreigner, a comedy by Larry Shue playing on the Main Stage October 2 – 19, 2025.

When British demolition expert Froggy brings his painfully shy friend Charlie to a Georgia fishing lodge, he claims Charlie is a foreigner who speaks no English—just to spare him from awkward conversations. But Charlie actually understands everything and soon overhears dark secrets, shady plots, and romantic entanglements the others think are safe to share. As the lies unravel, Charlie finds himself in the middle of a wild and hilarious chain of events. Clever, fast-paced, and full of heart, this comedy delivers nonstop laughs and an unexpected triumph for the underdog.

Trivia and Nacho Night at Brazos Valley Brewing Company

The taproom is open from 3 to 9 PM on Thursdays. Trivia starts at 6 PM so come early to get set up and grab a bevvy. BVB Food Truck will be open and we’ll have Brewery Bites of our famous Loaded Nachos and giant Pretzels. We have indoor and outdoor seating, playground for the kiddos, and dogs are welcome outside on a leash. Cheers!

TBC Speaker Luncheon featuring Washington-on-the-Brazos Project Updates

Join us at The Barnhill Center on October 7th as we host a special presentation by Washington-on-the-Brazos featuring exciting updates about the Grand Re-Opening of the park in November.

The discussion panel will feature:

– Michael Moore, Historian specializing in Eras of Texas Colonization, Revolution, and the Republic
– Jonathan P. Failor, Site Director for Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site Texas Historical Commission
– Cyndee Smith; Board Member Washington on the Brazos Historical Foundation

Doors open at 11am. Luncheon buffet open at 11:30am.
