Originally built in 1935, this sweet home is set in a quiet neighborhood facing a historic Lutheran stone church. Updated with an eye to the past, the home features original hardwood floors, original doors and hardware, 10 ft. ceilings…. and high speed internet. Unique and romantic touches grace the house; the generous dining room table is offset with an antique church pew from East Texas, and the TV rests on a 1926 pump organ. An antique chandelier sets the lovely, peaceful tone of the home. The master bedroom with queen bed features an antique carved table that serves as dedicated workspace if needed. The second bedroom with queen bed offers ample storage space with open closets and drawer space. The spacious loft features a full bath with a rain showerhead. It holds two queen beds below and four comfy 12” foam fold out beds in the loft above. The full kitchen is stocked with coffee, snacks, and bottled water. This 5 bedroom, 5-1/2 bath modern farmhouse plus an additional 2-2 in a separate “Casita” offers the perfect spot for family or friends to gather in comfort. Looking for a place to hold your family reunion but don’t want to be stacked on top of each other? Lots of room to spread out here with activities for all ages. The two-story main house has a large living area to seat 20+, a colorful electric fireplace for “ambiance” or heat, concrete floors on the first floor for minimal worry, a game room with large TV, bar and electronic games, and a separate laundry room. The back porch has a pathway to the neighboring Casita and as well as a path to the fire pit area. Upstairs is a bunk room, theater with fiber optic twinkling star ceiling, full bath, and two more large bedrooms with private baths. The Casita has two bedrooms with private baths, and a center gathering room with futon, table, sink, small refrigerator, and K-cup coffee maker. Outside is a fire ring and plenty of wood to enjoy the evening stars and mooing of neighboring cows. Great place for s’mores! Activities include a variety of games, toys and puzzles including an electronic console and card/poker table/bumper pool. Hello, and welcome to The Loft on Alamo! Come, unwind, and relax in this spacious floor plan of 400+ square feet and fully furnished. It is located on my property above a double garage. It has 1 king size bed, a closet, full size bathroom, and a kitchenet with sink, 2-burner stove, a fridge, and a Keurig coffee maker. It also has a Smart TV and WiFi. There can be NO SMOKING. You will also have your own private deck and private entrance to the stairway leading up to the loft.
When I built it, I tried to capture the feel and charm of a loft in an old building…wood floors, vaulted ceiling, and an interior brick wall.
You may feel like you’re in the country while here, but it’s actually located within 5 minutes from downtown Brenham.
It also has a private coded entry to the property with free parking next to your private deck.
Be mindful that there is a staircase to get to the loft, and you have a private entrance on the side by the deck.
