Brothers of the Heart
There’s a special excitement when world-class artists combine their individual talents and star power to create something fresh and exciting.
Dubbed the “Country, Bluegrass, Gospel Dream Team” by Cowboys & Indians Magazine, this celebrated foursome has combined their talents to produce a spectacular experience.
The super group consists of:
Jimmy Fortune was a member of The Statler Brothers for 21 years. He is a member of the CMA and GMA Halls of Fame. As a solo artist, this Grand Ole Opry and TV star has been inducted into the Virginia Musical Hall of Fame, and he has won two Dove Awards. His show sold out at The Barnhill Center in 2024.
Bradley Walker won the Male Vocalist of the Year Award from the International Bluegrass Music Association, and he has won three Dove Awards. Eric Clapton personally invited Walker to perform at his 2019 Crossroads Festival, and Vince Gill accompanied Walker on guitar.
Mike Rogers is part of Ricky Skaggs’s award-winning band, Kentucky Thunder, after spending much of his career with Bluegrass icon Doyle Lawson and country star Craig Morgan.
Ben Isaacs is a 12-time Grammy nominated producer, working with top Country artists. He also performs with his family’s Bluegrass/Gospel band, The Isaacs, who are Grand Ole Opry members and Gospel Music Hall of Famers. The Isaacs sold out twice at The Barnhill Center.
It’s a rare opportunity to witness a Brothers of the Heart concert. All members still maintain their hugely successful careers, so they don’t often get to perform as a group. They are thankful for the creative moments they have together.
“For me, this is so much more than music,” says Walker. “When you hear people talk about us they say, ‘You can tell that you all love each other, and you can tell you all are having fun.’ That’s the best thing about it to me . . . the love between us and our love for people. I’m so thankful to be a part of this.”
Their camaraderie and love for each other permeates their performances together. With decades of individual musical successes behind them, they are each other’s biggest fans.
“What we are together is way better than what we are individually”, Isaacs says. “So there is a line of respect and love and caring and support.”
It’s that combination of pure heart and gifted artistry that sets Brothers of the Heart above most musical experiences.
The Brothers enjoy taking their fans on a stroll down memory lane as they serve up such beloved classics as “Just As I Am” and “God Bless America” alongside pop hits such as “My Girl” and “Desperado.” They carry listeners back to a simpler time when the power of a great song, sung by good friends, could make the day brighter.
Brothers of the Heart is a special blend that transcends great harmonies and memorable songs. It’s something unique that can only be created by the Brothers.
