We’ve been serving sandwiches, quiche, salads, and homemade pies to groups of all sizes in our charming historic downtown building since 1982. Create your own combination by adding a hot soup, fresh fruit, side salad or delicious broccoli salad, then make your way to our antique ice cream parlor for hand-dipped Blue Bell ice cream! Must Be Heaven has a private dining area that seats up to 24 comfortably. Call for room rental rates. After business hours, however, the entire restaurant is available for a charge. Restaurant seats 215 including the private room.

When you go to Independence, you must stop at the Independence General Store where you can get something to eat and drink, and meet some of the local folks. Without a doubt, this is the social center, the hub, of the community.
