Unity Theatre presents “The Trip to Bountiful”, a drama by Horton Foote playing on the Main Stage February 6 – 23, 2025.

This moving drama follows the journey of Carrie Watts who yearns to escape the cramped Houston apartment where she lives with her son, Ludie, and domineering daughter-in-law, Jessie Mae. She longs to return, one last time, to her hometown of Bountiful, Texas. With Ludie and Jessie Mae in hot pursuit she manages to evade them only to discover that her beloved Bountiful is no longer the same as she remembered it. This American classic is a touching play about the profound idea of ‘home’ and what that really means to us.
