Freedmen’s Bureau Temporary Exhibit at the Brenham Heritage Museum

Established in March 1865 and commonly known as the Freedmen’s Bureau, the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen, and Abandoned Lands played a vital role in rebuilding the South in the aftermath of the Civil War.
