Southern Raised

Southern Raised is an up-and-coming, genre-breaking group that is winning awards and gaining international recognition.

They are kinfolk who are trained in Classical music but raised in the bluegrass-covered Ozark Mountains. They have created a trademark sound where Classical meets Bluegrass, with Celtic and Christian music mixed into their repertoire.

You’ll get a delightful new perspective of old favorites like “You Raise Me Up,” “Somewhere Over The Rainbow,” “Wayfaring Stranger,” Tennessee Ernie Ford’s “Sixteen Tons,” and John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”

“When these siblings croon a ballad or hymn, it is nothing short of breathtaking,” said Brass. “It’s surprising that such young people have somehow selected the best of the best old songs and creatively turned them into new treasures.

“There is also a warmth and realness about them that draws you in. Their passion for their music and their faith is so inspiring. It’s the perfect show just before Easter!”

Southern Raised received 1st Place in the 2011 CAM Band Competition and 5th place for the Diamond Awards “Bluegrass Artist of the Year.”

Collectively they have received a staggering 32 nominations for SPBGMA (Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America) awards.

They have released multiple number-one songs and their YouTube channel has attracted over 38 million viewers.

Southern Raised has been featured on RFD TV’s Larry’s Country Diner, Music City Show, and Gospel Music Showcase hosted by Guy Penrod.
