Over three weekends every spring the Independence Historical Society opens their Early Texas Homes for free to the public. When the Texas Bluebonnets are at their best come visit the 1820’s Coles Cabin, the 1830’s Dogtrot Log House and a one-room schoolhouse. During the weekends artisans will demonstrate early Texas crafts for adults and children. Located at 8488 Old Baylor College Rd, which is adjacent to Old Baylor Park.
